Yesterday, we made our first donation of gently-used stuffed animals to Love INC, an organization that packages, wraps, and delivers toys to kids in need at homeless shelters and women’s shelters. They were so appreciative of our contribution and they told us they have over 200 more families on their list, hoping for gifts this holidays.
Today’s Advent Calendar project is to give something to those less fortunate. If you have some gently used stuffed animals you can bear to part with, we’d love to pass them on to families who would give them very good homes. Please add us to your list of chores to do this weekend:)
If stuffed animals aren’t your thing, there are stores and organizations all around that are collecting food donations. And don’t forget our four-legged friends. Lunch Break is always looking for pet food gifts.
Red Bank-Shrewsbury Patch has a great article today listing places in town that are collecting for others. If you are not in the Red Bank, NJ area, there are sure to be places near you that will gladly accept gifts and donations. Try your town’s website for suggestions.
