Homemade Bunny Rabbit Sewing Cards – Day 4 National Craft Month March 2012

Here at Fragile Earth Stuffed Animals, we have bunnies on the brain these days.  Therefore, on Day 4 of National Craft Month we are making bunny rabbit sewing cards.

This is a very easy craft to set up and keep busy hands occupied.

What you’ll need:  heavy paper, scissors, hole punch and a shoelace or a piece of yarn with the end taped for easy sewing.

Let’s start sewing!

Step 1 – Print out or freehand a bunny cutout on a piece of heavy card stock.  I chose to print, since the world is not ready to see my freehand attempt.

Step 2 – Cut out your bunny.

Step 3 – With your hole punch, punch holes around the edge of the bunny.

Step 4 – Tie the shoelace to one of the holes and start sewing!

Easy? Right?  Kids love sewing cards and with some heavy paper and hole punch the possibilities are endless as to how many different variations you can create.
