Fairies In A Jar – Day 16 of National Craft Month March 2012

Today, we are going to share a great idea we found on Pinterest. We have not tested this yet and would love to hear from you if you do.  Send us pictures of your final results and we’ll post them on our Pinterest boards.

To make Fairies In A Jar you simply cut a glow stick and dump the contents in a jar and add glitter.  We can’t wait to see how it turns out.

  1. Doesn’t work like the picture shows. The glow sticks stick the diamond glitter to the side of the jar as opposed to floating in the center of the jar. So it looks just like that … glowing diamond glitter stuck to the side of a jar…can be used for a cool night light or candle or pretend camp fire..but it looks nothing like the picture that is shown…looks like someone used photo shop if you ask me.

  2. Pauline – I’m sorry it didn’t work properly. This will teach us to try everything before we put it on the blog:{

  3. Maybe you fill the jar with water first? I’m going to try that.

  4. Please let us know how it works out, Ashley.

  5. Corn syrup is what you need

  6. Thank you JJ – we will try that and see how it works. I have a nephew who will be the perfect age for this in the summer:)\
